Final Thoughts

My last day of this Western tour was spent in the Tetons. I have returned to this magnificent mountain range five times in my travels and never fail to see something new. After a wonderful meal in Jackson at the The Gun Barrel Steak & Game House I hit the road for parts east. Along the way I once again found myself driving close to a raging wild fire. As I was growing up, I remember Smokey the Bear and because my Grandfather was so involved in forest fire fighting and prevention, am very aware of the power of forest fires. We must do whatever it takes to protect our forests. Sometimes that means letting the forest rejuvenate itself through fires but these must be controlled. Please be careful when camping and enjoying the wilds.

As I roamed the mountains of Utah and then the majestic Tetons, I was once again struck by how much at home I felt winding my way up and down the mountain trails, listening to the wind in the Aspen and pines and catching glimpses of the many animals that call the mountains home. I know I will often return to spend time in the deep valleys and high ridgelines of our Western states.

This trip I drove close to six thousand miles, met many wonderful people and shot over 1300 images. Stay tuned this fall as I reveal at long last a web site for Robert G. Nulph Photography. Until then, head to your nearest state or national park and enjoy the world we live in.
