Last year at this time I was in Hawaii with temperatures in the 80’s and dipping my toes in the Pacific Ocean. This year I journeyed to Cape Elizabeth and the Crescent Beach and Two Lights State Parks. I spent a wonderful morning/afternoon climbing across the rocks, walking the sandy beach at Crescent Beach and shooting bunches of photos. I will be adding a ton of pictures to this blog hopefully tomorrow. All that fresh ocean air is catching up with me and I have to crash. Or perhaps it was the Lobster Dinner I had at Scales Restaurant. Stay Tuned!

Saturday was all about trains, vistas and relaxing. After my 4+ miles up and down the White Mountains searching for waterfalls, I figured I deserved a day of rest. So off I went to the Washington Valley Train tour. I splurged and got a seat int he Premium section of the train – a bubble that sits above the main train and gives the rider a 360˚ view. The ride was very pleasant and a great way to spend an early afternoon.

After the train ride and of course a stop at Ben & Jerry’s for some Cherry Garcia and Chunky Monkey, I headed to the summit of Cathedral Ledge. Don’t get too excited. After all of my exertion yesterday, I decided to drive up instead of hiking straight up. The view is spectacular and it was a great place to relax and commune with nature.

Sunday is all about staring out over the ocean. Make sure you check out the gallery for a few pics.
