Next week I will be driving once more from my boyhood home in Pennsylvania to collect my belongings from storage in St. Joseph, my academic home for 22 years (not counting the eight year sabbatical I took to teach at Clarion and Lewis Universities from 2005-2013.) I am officially retiring from Missouri Western State University as a Full Professor of Convergent Journalism at the end of July. I have been teaching remotely from Grove CIty, Pennsylvania since last November. It has been great spending time with Mom and my family. Teaching at Missouri Western has been a wonderful experience but it is time to return east and begin a new chapter in my evolving story. In August I will join the great faculty and staff at Penn State Harrisburg as a teaching professor specializing in media production and advising all student media.
However, before I begin that chapter, two weeks from today, I will be hitting the road once again for a five-week sojourn through Colorado and Utah. Stay tuned to this blog as I take you to such places as Granby, Pagosa Springs and Steamboat Springs, Colorado and St. George, Utah. Of course, I will be visiting as many national and state parks as possible and filling these pages with many photos of my adventures. Stay tuned!
