Pisa, Italy – Beautiful, amazing architecture and a colossal feat of engineering (in saving the tower!) After a quick visit to Pisa by part of the group (as the others had a great time in Rome!) we moved on to Mendrisso, Switzerland. The next morning, we journeyed by bus and train to Lake Como where we jumped on the fast boat to Bellagio, Italy. What a beautiful city. Jewels, silk, gelato. Winding streets, stairway alleys and did I mention gelato? After exploring and shopping in this beautiful city, the group went back to Como and on to Mendrisso for a much needed rest. I continued on to visit Menaggio and Varenna, two of the many beautiful ancient cities on the slopes of Lake Como.

In the morning, we once again did the bus and train dance to catch the plane to Malta. This city offers an entirely different kind of architecture and culture. Tomorrow the group begins its participation in another conference. Until then, it is good food, exploreing and catching up on sleep!
