This is a little different for me in that I usually journey West when given a chance to escape from academia for awhile. This year, I decided I needed a change, so I looked East and found a wonderful spot nestled on the Eastern Slope of the White Mountains in New Hampshire. As you can see by my pics, it really feels like I might have landed in the West but the clam chowder I had the other night was definitely an Eastern treat!
Tomorrow I rise with the sun and ride the Cog Train to the summit of Mount Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast. So, since it is an early morning, I will cut this short and say so long until tomorrow. I will fill you in a little more about my journey here then.
