AC Watercolor Photostrip 2.jpg

On the road after a great lunch in Lincoln, Nebraska, I headed north letting my GPS take me through the hinterlands on my way to the badlands. In South Dakota, what started as a unique cloud formation turned into the worst storm I have ever driven in. It was raining and hailing so hard at one point, I could not see the road in front of me and all traffic halted. Off to the side, the rain was splashing up and spraying/blowing so hard it was forming a dense moving cloud at ground level. From where I was stopped, I could see 4 horses huddled together with the rain cloud flowing around them as it blew through the wash. Fortunately no hail damage, just an exciting half hour to add to my travels! A few pics of the day are located in the gallery. Enjoy!

This blog will provide a visual peek into this photographer’s journey to, through, around and back from Northern, Utah. Why Utah you ask? Because I’ve never really explored Northern Utah and Southern Idaho so… it’s there so why not?
